Website Concept
For my web design project 2, I used the Cosmic Comics story by Italo Calvino as my concept for my site. I wanted my website to resemble a restaurant website where you are able to see a menu of different food and drink items made with moon milk, one of the subjects discussed in the short story. I wanted to make my website very fun and tell the story of how they went to the moon and got the milk to make cheese.
Design Concept
The art and colors are similar to that of a children’s novel, but still sleek enough to look like it belongs to a restaurant. There are descriptions of the food and prices, as well as original images made my myself that are inserted into the menu. The aesthetic of the website is dreamlike with pastel colors.
Text
There are humorous descriptions of high prices and ridiculous guarantees of the quality of food, similar to that of a real high-end restaurant.
